Dental Bonding
The dream of a dazzling, snow-white smile is something many of us share. Healthy, aesthetically pleasing teeth not only boost our self-esteem but also play a key role in shaping our appearance.
For those who weren’t naturally blessed with perfectly straight and white teeth, modern aesthetic dentistry offers effective solutions. One of them is dental bonding – a procedure that successfully corrects various dental imperfections.
At the ALDENT Center for Comprehensive Dentistry and Implantology, we use innovative, top-quality composite materials to perform dental bonding. This ensures a precise fit and a natural-looking smile without the need to interfere with the tooth’s hard tissues.
Moreover, these restorations are durable, wear-resistant, and deliver an impressive aesthetic effect that closely mimics the natural tooth structure. In fact, it’s often hard to tell the difference between natural teeth and those enhanced with bonding in our clinic.
What is Bonding?
Dental bonding is a procedure that changes the shape, size, and color of the teeth using composite material. This allows for a complete smile makeover in just a single visit. For this purpose, we use a special composite resin, which adheres strongly to the tooth surface thanks to intermolecular interactions. Bonding does not require tooth preparation or drilling. This ensures excellent aesthetics and a perfect fit.
Tooth shape correction can be performed not only with veneers or all-ceramic crowns, but also with high-quality composite material. During the entire process of creating a new smile, the patient works closely with the dentist, sharing their expectations regarding the shape, color, and size of their future teeth.
Digital Smile Design at our clinic makes it possible to preview your future smile before beginning the treatment. Every smile created in our clinic is individually tailored to meet the unique needs and expectations of each patient.
When should you consider dental bonding?
- Tooth imperfections: If your teeth are chipped, discolored, or otherwise damaged, bonding may be an excellent solution.
- Gaps between teeth (diastema): For those who have small gaps between their teeth and want to close them without orthodontic treatment, dental bonding can solve the problem.

Stages of Bonding Treatment at CSK ALDENT in Lublin
During the first visit, we conduct an interview with the patient to understand their needs and expectations. We perform a comprehensive oral examination and a CBCT scan. We carefully assess the condition of the teeth and oral cavity. A detailed treatment plan for restoring teeth with bonding is also presented and discussed during this visit.
The dental bonding procedure is carried out during a single visit, usually lasting from one to a maximum of four hours. The duration depends on the number of teeth being treated and the extent of the correction. The entire procedure is performed under magnification using dental loupes, which ensures precision and accuracy.
After about two to three weeks, we schedule a follow-up visit with the patient.
Bonding Step by Step
- Teeth cleaning: the surface of the teeth is thoroughly cleaned to remove any deposits, plaque, and other impurities. This ensures optimal adhesion of the nano-composite resin to the enamel.
- Enamel etching: a special etching agent is applied to create microscopic roughness on the enamel surface. This increases the bonding surface, improving the adhesion of the bonding system and composite to the tooth.
- Application of bonding system: this step allows adhesion between the composite resin and the tooth surface. The bonding system acts as an intermediate layer between the enamel and the composite.
- Composite application: the composite resin is applied gradually. Careful modeling of each applied layer of nano-composite resin ensures a perfect fit with the natural tooth structure, which is essential to achieving the desired aesthetic effect.
- Polymerization and polishing: blue light from a curing lamp is used to harden each layer of composite. Afterwards, each tooth surface is smoothed and polished.
